Winifred Anna Shilling, 75, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center. Born December 24, 1940 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Vivian Mae (Ritenour) Stevenson. Winifred retired from Washington County School Board. She was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Tina LaPole, and Kelli S. Nutter; two sons, Clyde D. Shilling, Jr. and Alan R. Shilling; five grandchildren, Julie Cathor, Jessica LaPole, Bethany Nutter, Brady Nutter and Jacqueline Shilling; and four great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Gavin, Logan and Ivy. Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Delmar Shilling, Sr.; one brother, Deilbert Owen Stevenson. Services will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Jerry Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 21, 2016, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
