William Washington Turner, Sr., 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center. Born November 1, 1939 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Harvey Washington and Mabel Irene (Albert) Turner. William worked for Eastern Products for 10 years, and for Oak Hill Professional Center for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Gail Turner; one son, William W. Turner, Jr. and finance, Tessa; two grandchildren, Elizabeth D. Turner and boyfriend, Victor Adams, and Stefanie R. Diehl and husband, Cory; two great granddaughters, Asahna Diehl and Reagan Adams; one great grandson, Daxon Adams; two sisters, Caroline G. Wolfe and Flora M. Buffington; one brother, Robert S. Turner; several nieces and nephews; and special niece, Carolyn M. Sprecher. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris V. Warrenfeltz and Kate Norris; and three brothers, Russell G. Turner, Leroy McClay and Frank McClay. Services will be held 1:00pm Monday, April 3, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Rev. Samuel C. Findley will officiate. Burial will be in Welsh Run Church Cemetery in Welsh Run, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 6 to 8pm.
