WILLIAM BERNARD THOMPSON, SR., 84, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Life Care Hospital in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Born December 25, 1931 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Herbert and Evelyn Linton Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lovealene (Sis) Lorraine Thompson on March 23, 2000. William retired from Massey Ford as manager of the Auto Body Shop after forty-two years of service. He was then employed with Keystone Ford for twenty years. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Arvin and husband, Lonnie and Robin Joann Suder and husband, Chris all of Clear Spring, MD; four sons, William B. Thompson, Jr. and wife, Donna and Robert Thompson and wife, Monica all of Hagerstown, MD, Herbert Thompson and wife, Kendra of Mercersburg, PA and David Thompson and wife, Sherry of Smithsburg, MD; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Thompson and Robert Thompson. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
