WILLIAM FRANKIN SONNY MURRAY, SR., 71, of 159 Cool Hollow Drive, Falling Waters, West Virginia and formerly of Clear Spring, Maryland, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at his home. Born April 25, 1935 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the late George F. and Daisy Mae Betts Murray. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine V. Murray. He was employed as a truck driver with Craig Paving, Inc. He is survived by two daughters, Lois D. Humphrey of Kearneysville, West Virginia and Janet M. Smith of Hagerstown, Maryland; four sons, William F. Murray, Jr. of Falling Waters, West Virginia, Paul R. Shelly, Sr. of Hagerstown, Maryland, Anthony W. "Sonny Boy" Murray of Maugansville, Maryland and Calvin E. L. Murray of Hagerstown, Maryland; five sisters, Anna Mae Carbaugh and Bessie E. Henson both of Williamsport, Maryland, Mary E. Little of Hagerstown, Maryland, Geraldine L. Jordan and Goldie E. Staley both of Falling Waters, West Virginia; two brothers, Lewis R. Murray of Clear Spring, Maryland and Henry E. Murray of Hagerstown, Maryland; sixteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, James L. Murray. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Shanktown Cemetery, Shanktown, Maryland.
