William “Roger” Hinkle, 67, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 14, 2026.

Born on November 12, 1958, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Roger was the son of the late Argie Lynn Hinkle and Patsy Lou Shupp.

Roger found joy in working on his hot rod Mustangs, woodworking, weightlifting, and practicing martial arts. He enjoyed creating with his hands and took great pride in the projects he completed. One of the greatest blessings in his life was the unwavering companionship of his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Max, who faithfully remained by his side for 14 years.

Roger faced significant health challenges in recent years. His family hopes he will be remembered for the life he lived, the passions he pursued, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Kenny Hinkle (Noe’l); his niece, Ashlyn Martin (Airin); his great-nephews, Ryder and Remy Martin; and extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held privately.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and caregivers at Hershey Medical Center for the compassionate care and support they provided to Roger during his final days.
