Obituary

WILLIAM F. SCHNEIDER, 89, of 229 South Mont Valla Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Washington County Hospital. Born July 13, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late S. Matthew and Ellen Faust Schneider. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine E. Schneider on February 26, 2002. He graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1933. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Air Force. He was retired from Maryland Maid Kitchens. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the choir. He was a member of the American Legion, Williamsport Post 202, and Gideons International. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Lyman (Betty) Martin; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Schneider, and George Schneider. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42. Friends may call the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Thursday from 9:00 a. m. to 9 p. m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 East Franklin Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
