William "Bill" Edward Burgan, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Born January 27, 1937 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late John Herbert and Helen (Borens) Burgan.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, June M. Burgan, in 2012.

He graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1955. During his working years, he was employed by Grand Union and later County Market.

He cherished spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed sitting on his porch in his chair (a rocking chair of course!) and visiting with neighbors and their pets.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Cynthia "Cindee" Daley and husband, Van, of Burnt Cabins, PA; one grandson, Bradley "Brad" Frush and wife, Michelle, of Hagerstown; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Bailey; and one sister, Mary J. Tarner, of Hagerstown.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Burgan, Robert Burgan, and Donald Burgan.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 127 Britner Ave., Williamsport, MD. Pastor Lee Brumback will officiate.  There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, please go out on your porch, on a sunny day, and think of Bill.
