WILFRED CHARLES (WILL) JACKSON, 81, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at his home. Born February 28, 1928 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Edmond and Nellie Viola Shoemaker Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. (Dottie) Jackson on April 10, 1995. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and the U. S. Air Force. He was retired from Fairchild Aircraft. He is survived by one brother, Silas Jackson of Boonsboro, Maryland; and two God-daughters, Kayla E. Mason, and Sarah M. Mason, both of Hagerstown; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Viola M. Davis; and two brothers, John C. Jackson, and Edmond L. Jackson. Funeral services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Saturday at 11:00 a. m. with Rev. Ron Mollow officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Amvets Post 10, and the Marine Corps League. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
