Wiley Ben Barnes, Jr., 83, of Williamsport, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Born May 29, 1940 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Wiley Ben Barnes, Sr. and Mildred Katherine (Gammon) Barnes.

He was a 1958 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and a lifetime member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

Known as "Bud" to his family or sometimes "Big Bird". He was an avid bowler at Southside Bowl for many years. He was in many leagues, and sometimes partners with our mother. Bud enjoyed watching baseball (Orioles) and football. He loved going to the mall to meet up with his buddies where they would enjoy their coffee, conversations, and walking the mall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy L. Barnes and brother, Dennis E. Barnes.

Bud is survived by his wife, Vicki Barnes; brothers, Aubrey Barnes, and wife, Nancy, Dave Barnes, and wife, Dawn; sister, Debra Huntsbergr, and husband, Gary, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as Vicki's children.

In this life we all could have learned a lot from Bud. As his nephew, David, said today, he is the kindest and most beautiful soul who loved unconditionally.

Services will be 10AM Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Randall S. Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, February 1, 2024, one hour prior to services.
