Wayne Eugene Shilling, 77, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving daughters, their mother, Norma, and his beloved pet, Harley.

Born on January 23, 1948, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Merle and Elizabeth (Peterson) Shilling. Wayne was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his family was at the heart of his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Shilling and Angela Bernhard (husband, Kevin); five grandsons, Eric Seal, Christopher Hutzell, Cameron Gwinnutt, Mark Bielmann, and Cole Bernhard; three granddaughters, Corrine Aikens, Kyra McCord, and Breanna Moats; four great-grandchildren, Elias, Elin, Ella, and Ivy; niece, Patricia Shilling; and nephew, Richard Shilling, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Shilling; brother, Richard Shilling; and baby sister, Linda Shilling.

Wayne was a proud retiree of AC&T, where he served for 20 years as a tanker driver. His passions included drag racing, restoring classic cars, shooting pool, and kayaking trips. He also cherished his recent cruise with family at the end of March, a memory he held dear.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in his family.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6pm to 8pm.
