WAYNE EDWARD JENKINS, 65, of Boonsboro, MD passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born July 13, 1949 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Weston and Blanche Kaetzel Jenkins. Wayne was employed with Roxbury Correction Institute retiring in 2011 with 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Esta Jenkins in 2012. Wayne is survived by one stepdaughter, Linda Smith of Hedgesville, WV and one stepson, James Mills of Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Nancy Keener of Maugansville, MD; one brother, Richard Myers of Hagerstown, MD; and a dear friend Helen Bitner. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate.
