Obituary

Watson Glenville Rasey II passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025. Born on October 9, 1934, in Kirkwood, Missouri, he was the oldest son of Lowell Clark Rasey and Gertrude Burull Rasey.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering from Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in 1956, and was a brother of the Theta Xi fraternity. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel, ITT, and Howard County until retiring in 1996.

He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was active in scouting with his own children. He was a past President of the Hagerstown Lions Club, a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #378, a member of the Nine and Ninety Dance Club, and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janice Kerschner Rasey and is survived by his daughter, Vicki Rasey Maloney and her husband Michael Maloney; his grandson Christopher Maloney and granddaughters Sarah Maloney and Lauren Maloney; his son, Jeffrey Watson Rasey; and his grandsons Jeffrey Watson Rasey, Jr., and Matthew Rasey.
