Wanda Lee Kendle, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, at the Residences at Creekside in Hagerstown, MD, where she had made her home. Born on December 18, 1954, in Hagerstown, MD, Wanda's zest for life and kind spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her throughout her 69 years. She was the daughter of the late George B. Renner, III and Peggy A. (Longerbeam) Renner.
Wanda's professional life was marked by her caring nature and dedication to others. She was a employee at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, where she provided comfort and care to those in need. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life as she was member of the Williamsport Red Men Lodge 84 and the Moose Lodge.
Wanda enjoyed playing shuffleboard, loved to sit on her front porch, and listening to music. Alongside her late husband, Wanda shared a passion for the excitement of NASCAR and for her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.
She was dearly loved by the staff and residents at Residence at Creekside, especially by Teresa, Jason, Nancy, Susie, Lorie and Bucky.
Wanda is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" L. Williard, and wife, Marsha E. Williard; her sister, Susan M. Fraley, of Martinsburg, WV; sister-in-law, Darlene Renner, of Hagerstown; niece, Jessica N. Nigh; and nephews, Brenton A. Renner and Brenton S. Renner; two stepdaughters, Katrina Zellman and husband, Bill, Becky Evans and husband Tim; stepson, Andy Kendle and significant other, Terri.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Kendle; daughter, Nicole S. Williard; and her brother, George B. Renner.
Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Allen Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the funeral home.
