WANDA MAE HENSON, 83, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home. Born July 25, 1933, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leslie S. and Elsie I. Barthlow Michael. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Henson. She was previously employed with Spiegel Catalog Center and First National Bank. She was a member of Christ Community Church. Wanda was a Girl Scout leader for ten years and also a member of Lioness Club of Hagerstown. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl I. Metz and husband, Charles (Chuck) of Hagerstown; son, Michael W. Taylor and wife, Roberta of Hagerstown; step daughter, Karolyn Martin and husband, Robert (Bobby); two step sons, Kim Henson and wife, Lora and Kerry Henson and wife, Kathy; sister, Carolyn Sue Michael Hawbaker; brother, Leslie Shannon Michael; three grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Eugene Michael. Memorial services will be held 2:30pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Christ Community Church, (Willow Brook SDA Church), 8916 Mapleville Rd., Boonsboro, MD 21713. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A special thank you to Dr. Steven Blash, R.N.
