Walter Raymond (Buddy) Marshall, 78, of 43 Frederick Road, Funkstown, Maryland, died Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Washington County Hospital. Born July 11, 1926 in Washington County, Maryland he was the sone fo the late Walter R. and Nora M. Churchy Marshall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Marshall, March 11, 1999. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in World War II. He was employed with Creasey Company retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Broadfording Bible Brethren Church. He was a member of Funkstown American Legion Post 211. He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Keifer and Barbara Stevenson both of Hagerstown, Maryland; one son, Jeffrey Wayne Marshall of Funkstown, Maryland; one sister Ellen Whittington of Hagerstown, Maryland; two brothers, John Marshall of Hagerstown, Maryland and Jum Marshall of Utah; three grandchildren and foru great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by ten sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Barbara A. Steigerwalt will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Military grave side honors will be conducted by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p. m.
