Obituary

Walter "Rickie" Fulton, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at his home in Big Pool, Maryland, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on April 15, 1959, in Frederick, Maryland, Rickie's life was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.

Rickie was the beloved husband of Linda Fulton, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories. He was a devoted son to his mother, Evelyn Walters, and his stepfather, AJ Walters, and held the memory of his late father, David F. Fulton, close to his heart. Rickie's legacy continues through his children: Rickie and his wife Jo Ann, Jennifer, and Michael and his wife Sarah. His grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Brittany, Trenton, Kaleb, Layken, Kaden, and Kalina, great grandchildren, Kolton, Chance, and Treyton, will forever cherish the moments spent with their doting grandfather.

Rickie's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his craft. With only some high school education, he honed his skills to become a respected carpenter, known for his creativity and handiwork. His work not only provided for his family but also left a lasting imprint on the lives he touched.

An avid outdoorsman, Rickie found solace in the tranquility of nature. His love for hunting, fishing, and gardening was only surpassed by the joy he took in sharing these passions with his family and friends. Rickie's kind and creative spirit was evident in every aspect of his life, from the meticulous care he took of his garden to the thoughtful way he taught his grandchildren the patience and skill of fishing.

Rickie is survived by his loving family, including his brothers Melvin "Gene" and his late brother David, his sisters Evelyn "TD" and Sheila, and his step-siblings Norman, Stephanie, and Pam. Each family member will miss Rickie's kind guidance, his ready smile, and his ability to fix anything that needed mending.

To know Rickie was to know a man of great character. He was the embodiment of kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand. His creative mind was always at work, whether he was crafting a beautiful piece of furniture or devising a new way to make his loved ones smile.

As we say goodbye to Walter "Rickie" Fulton, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rickie's memory will be held in the hearts of his family and friends as a beacon of love, strength, and generosity. His was a life that truly made a difference, and he will be deeply missed.
