VIVIAN SIMMONS GREENE, 90, formerly of 600 Summit Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, MD. Born September 1, 1917 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie Simmons Head. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Charles Greene Sr. She was retired from Rosenbaums Department Store in Cumberland, MD. She was a former member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Hagerstown. She is survived two grandsons, Mark Greene of Poway, CA and Toby Greene of FL; one step grandson, Stephen of Philadelphia, PA, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Edward Charles Greene Jr.; three sisters, Ruth M. Thompson, Ursa Bain and Nina Harshman; four bothers, Thomas Head, Donald Head, Clarence Head and Charles Head. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be at the North/Meadowlawn Cemetery, New Port Richey, FL at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
