Viva "Tiny" Cecile French, 87, passed away on December 30, 2025 . Tiny was born on August 1, 1938 with her twin sister in Carlisle PA. She was the daughter of the late, Cleon Austin and Marie (Weary) Beittel.

She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School class of 1957.

Tiny was employed with Weis Market for 20 years. She was a member of Valley Assembly of God.

Following her retirement, she loved to play Yahtzee with her twin sister, Marie, until she passed in 2018. She continued her love of games with weekly card games. When that became more difficult, she turned her interest into word search puzzles and adult coloring, making over 20 binders. She became a resident of Fahrney Keedy Memory Care in 2024 where she loved her weekly Bingo games.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa L. Cunningham and husband, Danny, of Sharpsburg MD, and Carrie A. Flook and husband, Dwayne, of Hagerstown, MD; one son, Harold D. French, Jr. and wife, Lesley, of Conway SC; one sister, Lois Hoch and husband, Paul, of Carlisle, PA; a half-brother, Michael Beittel and wife, Kathy, of Mt. Lena, MD; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Viva was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold French, daughter, Dena Marie French, and half-brother, Cleon Beittel.

The family would like to thank Fahrney Keedy Memory Care Unit and Hospice for the love and care of Tiny during her time there.

Services will be Saturday, Jan 3, 2026, at 10 am at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Friday, January 2, 2026, from 6 to 8 pm. at the funeral home. Reverend Robert Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
