VIRGINIA CLARK WEAVER, 95, of Hagerstown, MD, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, mother-in-law, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born April 24, 1923 near Mercersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Florence Viola Keadle Clark. Virginia was a 1941 graduate of Mercersburg High School and a graduate of Hagerstown Business College in 1943. She worked at Fairchild in Hagerstown for a short time where she met her husband, Jack, and they were married in the Presbyterian Church, Hagerstown on December 6, 1943. They settled in Hagerstown where they remained and raised their family of nine. Virginia was a long-time dedicated member of St. Marys Catholic Church and their nine children attended St. Marys Catholic School. Virginia was also a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 50 years. Her faith was strong and it was the foundation of her strength in life. Virginias heart and soul in life belonged to her family, which has grown over the years to 100+, all of whom she loved dearly and were her pride and joy. Virginia never forgot a birthday, anniversary or any other family occasion. Her boundless energies in raising her children and bringing everyone together over the years for meals, celebrations, holidays and more were her life. She has been the anchor and binding force of a large, loving family and always took pride in telling others about her many family members. She was a seamstress for many years, finding time to work at Ormonds, Wards, Stytch in Tyme and at home. She was one of the originators of the Rummage Sales held at St. Marys Catholic School. Virginias first trip to Ocean City, MD was with Jack in 1952 and soon after, she started taking the family there for annual vacations, a place that still bonds her family with endless memories. Many of her hobbies over the years have been spending time with friends while bowling, playing cards, dinners, gatherings, luncheons and visits. She enjoyed reading, traveling, putting puzzles together and using her various sewing and crocheting skills to make things for all her family. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Susan Bloom and husband, George; Celia Palmer and husband, Steve; Lisa Wynkoop and husband, Greg; Cheryl Hammond and husband, Brent; Mary "Jackie" Lewis and husband, David; and her sons, Ronnie and wife, Linda; Donnie and wife, Joenne; Todd and wife, Ellie; and Curtis and wife, Pam. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren with another expected in May. Virginia has been in Hospice care for which the family is very grateful. The family was also blessed to have a close family friend and her Goddaughter, Terri Rubino, as her caregiver. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Weaver on April 18, 1977 and her sister, Ruth Walker on February 13, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. George A. Limmer will celebrate mass. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rosary will be recited at 5:30pm.
