Virginia Lee Small, 98, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Williamsport Retirement Village. Born October 3, 1920 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Paul Hadden and Eva Dorothy (Martin) Barr. Virginia was a waitress, Cafeteria Manager in the Kent County Public School System, and a member of First Christian Church. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hockensmith Small. She is survived by two sons, Ronald L. Heiston and Lawrence (Larry) E. Peters; one step-son, Eugene Small; two sisters, Rose M. Sweeney and Margaret Shank; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by five sisters, Evelyn Mae Repp, Mary F. Bailey, Eva L. Smith, Thelma D. Haines and Delores J. Barr and three brothers, William A. Barr, Paul H. Barr, Jr. and George R. Barr. Services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Jake M. Caldwell will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
