Virginia Pauline "Polly" Petty, 94, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Doey's House.

Born July 7, 1931 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John William and Blanche Inez (Ragland) Montgomery.

She worked as a waitress in her earlier years, and later in life at Three Minute Car Wash.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory L. Petty (wife, Patti), James M. Petty (wife, Patti), and Barry D. Petty (wife, Cheryl); 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Montgomery and David Montgomery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Petty; her companion of 33 years and love of her life, Charles Reeder; son, Raymond Petty Jr; two sisters, Carol Montgomery and Lois Pease; and two brothers, John "Hap" Montgomery and Marion "Bud" Montgomery.

A viewing will be held Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 4pm – 6pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

The funeral will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 1pm with CSM Larry Miller officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
