VIRGINIA MAY LEWIS, 86, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Friday, May 18, 2012 at her home. Born September 17, 1925 in Picardy, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Margaret Gillam Crabtree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Lewis. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by four sisters, Catherine A. Heiston, Dorothy L. Kave, Jeannie C. Sours, and Daisy M. Kinzer all of Hagerstown; two sister in laws, Doris Crabtree and Catherine Crabtree, both of Hagerstown; brother in law, Bert Jamison of Hagerstown; a special friend, Georgia Wolfinsberger; a special, great nephew, J.R.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, William D. Crabtree, Evans L. Crabtree, Judea E. Crabtree and Harold E. Crabtree. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
