VIRGINIA MAY JONES, 91, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown where she was a resident. Born July 2, 1915 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Ackerman, and the late Virginia Cramer Jacobs. She was a homemaker. She is survived by five daughters, Nancy E. Baker of Hagerstown, Bonita M. Groves of Sharpsburg, Maryland, Virginia Jones-Geis of Funkstown, Maryland, Linda D. Navratil of Snow Hill, North Carolina, and Teresa W. Howell of Hagerstown; three sons, Paul E. Jones of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, Robert S. Jones of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and Glenn R. Jones of Hagerstown; one brother, James Jacobs, Sr. of Clover, South Carolina; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Paul A. Jones; one brother, William Jacobs; one granddaughter; one grandson; and one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m.
