VIRGINIA J. (GINNY) GOSLIN, 92, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters. She was born August 29, 1920, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Virginia was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Anna M. Butts Johnson. Virginia was wife of Bayard W. Goslin who passed away June 19, 1972. Virginia was a member of Oak Ridge Garden Club, Southside Bowling League and enjoyed birds, flowers, word search puzzles, soap operas and crab cakes and beer at Chics Seafood in Hagerstown. She loved animals and spending time with her family. Ginny especially loved her great grand dogs Buster & B.J. Virginia is survived by her loving daughter, Stephanie V. Mills of Funkstown, MD; granddaughters, Jessica Y. Colbert of Hagerstown, Krista R. Giffin and husband, Bud of Boonsboro and Robin Powell of Massachusetts; a grandson, Troy A. Goslin of Ohio; great grandchildren, Brendon and Brianna Colbert, Breanna and Nayh; sister, Henrietta M. Burns; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Alan B. Goslin on December 17, 2000; brothers, R. Lewis Johnson and Russell Johnson; sister, Mary M. Johnson Younkins; niece, Suzanne Hancock and great grandson, Trenton E. Colbert. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17626 Bakersville Road, Boonsboro, Maryland. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will be private at the convenience of her family. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stephanie V.
