VINCENT WINFIELD (WIMP) SLUSHER, SR., 85, of 620 West Franklin Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born August 28, 1921 in Luray, Virginia, he was the son of the late Harry Emmitt and Gertrude Evelyn Brown Slusher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Elizabeth (Gerry) Slusher on February 14, 1987. He was retired from Tri State Roofing. He was a member of the V. F. W. #1936. He is survived by three daughters, Dietra Kretzer, Vicki Wolfe, and Robin Baker, all of Hagerstown; one son, Vincent W. Slusher, Jr. of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Robert H. Slusher, and Ronald F. Slusher, both of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James L. Slusher, Harry E. Slusher, Jr., and Oliver Brown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Monday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Charles Donivan will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
