VICKI HUTZELL COWMAN, 55, of 133 East North Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital. Born January 29, 1955 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of Lawrence Lafayette and Virginia Mae Shelby Hutzell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Cowman. She practiced law in Buchanan, West Virginia. She taught English and Science at Grace Academy, and taught at San Mar Children's Home, where she found great reward in doing so. She was a member of Maranatha Brethren Church, and was treasurer of the Ambassador's Sunday School Class. She is survived by one daughter, Jessica E. Cowman of Hagerstown; one son, Andrew L. Cowman of Hagerstown; one sister, Sandy Clipp of Hagerstown; two brothers, Gary Hutzell of Hagerstown, and Rick Hutzell of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday at the Maranatha Brethren Church. Pastor Ron Shank will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
