Vernon Edward Fear, 70, of Williamsport, MD, went to be with The Lord September 13, 2020, at Meritus Medical Center. Born June 19, 1950 in Berkeley Springs, WV, he is the son of Margaret Fear-Clopper, and the late Edward Fear. Vernon served in the U. S. Army. He was employed on the railroad for 47 years. He was a foreman at Western Maryland Railroad and Manager at Amtrak Railroads. After retirement, Vernon was a bus driver for Washington County Public Schools. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed Nascar very much, and was a lifelong fan of Earnhardt. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Trina Fear; two grandchildren, TJ Fear, and Sierra Starliper, and husband, Andrew; two great-grandchildren, whom he loved with all of his heart, Winter Fear, and Ryland Starliper; three sisters, Brenda Clopper, and husband, James, Shirley Householder, and Wanda Giffin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Fear; stepfather, Max Clopper; sister, Barbara Ritter; one brother, Steve Fear; nieces, Heather Cross, and Jennifer Stotlemyer; two baby nieces, and favorite nephew, Tommy Gladden. Celebration of life may be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to his wife, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren.
