On December 3, 2024, the Lord received another angel in Valerie Paige Singleton, 21, of Hagerstown, MD. Born July 15, 2003 in Hagerstown, Valerie graduated from Marshall Street School in 2024. She was loved by all her teachers, classmates, and nursing aides.

Valerie loved to sing and listen to music and watch movies with family and friends. She loved to draw pictures and paint, especially unicorns. She may have been born with Down's Syndrome, but it never slowed her down in life. She was kind, giving, loving to all and could light up a room when she entered. She loved her family and all her friends with all her heart.

Valerie was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Richard Arvin, Jr. and Ira Singleton, Sr.

She is survived by her father, Ira Andrew Singleton, Jr.; her mother, Tara Singleton and (Jason Myers), sister, Kourtney Singleton; maternal grandmothers, Lana K. Arvin (Nanny) and James Moore (Chef Pappy) and Debbie Singleton (Peep Pee); great grandmother, Mary Sprecher; great grandfather, Robert Sprecher; and numerous great aunts; great uncles; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Valerie will be missed dearly by all. Her family will always remember her as a loving, caring, helpful, young lady. She will be in our hearts forever and never forgotten.

The family would like to thank all Doctors, nurses, caretakers, aides, bus drivers, and bus aides, over the years that cared for and looked after Valerie's well-being.

A visitation will be held 10am – 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
