VALENCIA ELIZABETH MARY BURNETT, 50, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital. Born January 14, 1958 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee Burnett, Sr. and Janet Louise (Stoner) Burnett Russ. Valencia graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1976 and the Police Academy She was a past employee of W. D. Byron Tannery in Williamsport, Md. She was a member of Greater Campher Temple, King's Apostle Holiness Church, Hagerstown. She was also a member of, Each One Teach One, Women for Obama, the Democratic Committee of Hagerstown, and she was an Elks Lodge Volunteer. She is survived by one son, Gary A. Robinson of Largo, Md.; one daughter, Isis S. Moten; a brother, Ernest L. Burnett, Jr. and a sister, Debora L. Burnett; all of Hagerstown; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her fiance, Mark Lee Stoner. Funeral services will be held at Minnich Funeral Home on Friday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Darin Mency will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
