Tressa Lee Nicewarner, 59, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born on July 21, 1966 in Cumberland, MD to Paul Frederick Hartung Jr. and Mary Burk Hartung.

Tressa was a 1984 graduate of Allegany High School. She worked as a school secretary and nurse for South Hagerstown High School for twenty years, and later worked for the Academy for Blended Learning Education (ABLE). Tressa was a huge part of the South Hagerstown community donating countless hours to organizations like the Bester Elementary PTA, the Athletic Boosters Club, Soroptimist International of Americas, The Discovery Station, and after her successful battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma, the American Cancer Society. Additionally, Tressa was recognized by the mayor for her work with the Hagerstown Youth Council.

When she wasn't serving others, Tressa enjoyed going to the beach and Deep Creek Lake, reading, and watching sports – especially the Ravens and Nationals. However, most of all, her passion was being a grandmother and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Paul F. Hartung Sr. and Helen J. Hartung, her maternal grandparents, William R. Burk and Virginia J. Burk, and her sister, Stephanie L. Hartung.

Tressa is survived by her parents, Paul F. Hartung Jr. and Mary (Molly) C. Hartung, her husband, Scott A. Nicewarner, her daughter, Caitlin E. Myers and her husband, Ryan, her son, Jordan J. Nicewarner, and her grandchildren, Noah, Cayden, and Eden.
