TRAVIS EARL THOMPSON., 74, of 17834 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland. Born July 29, 1932 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Phillip H. and Nannie Pearl Crothers Thompson. He was employed with Sharrett's Inc. of Hagerstown. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jacqueline B. Thompson; one daughter, Holly L. Showe, of Hagerstown; one son, Larry E. Thompson both of Hagerstown; one brother, Harry Thompson of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren; April Thompson, Ashley Thompson, Matt Thompson, Robert Thompson, Justin Thompson, Tiffany Showe and Brittany Showe and by great grandson; Preston Johnson and a great granddaughter and the family pet black lab 'Layla'. He was preceded in death by one son Robert Lee Thompson; two sisters, Mary Miller and Barbara Miller; and three brothers, John Thompson, Pete Miller and Meredith Miller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Rev Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p. m.
