TOMASA "Tomasita" NATALIA HIGDON, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Born, June 21, 1926 in Ciales, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Tomas Montes and Isabelle Monzano Montes. Tomasa was a member of Hagerstown Golds Gym. She attended Haven Lutheran Church. Tomasa enjoyed exercising at Gold's Gym. She also enjoyed dancing and laughing with family and friends. Tomasa was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Higdon. Tomasa is survived by three daughters, Chris Robinson and husband, David of Hagerstown, MD Carol L. Nemzek and husband, Jim of Waynesboro, PA; and Judy Ann Kable and husband, Chad of Livingston, TN; a son, Robert L. Higgins and wife, Lynley of Hagerstown, MD; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Tomasa was preceded in death by a son; David M. Thomas, a daughter, Patricia Irene Shank; a brother, Fideline Montes and two sisters, Rita Parra and Emmy Levy. Services will be held at 11am, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Hospice Chaplain John Sumpter will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home.
