THOMAS EDISON HENRY, SR., 79, of Williamsport, Md., died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. Born October 18, 1931 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late John T. and Edna Light Henry. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Mack Trucks with 29 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanitta Lee Henry. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Myers) Jones and husband Bill of N. Richland Hill, Tx., and Noreen L. (Daley) Wilson and husband Mark of Voorhees, New Jersey; two sons, Jeff A. Henry and wife Susan of Blythewood, South Carolina and Thomas E. Henry, Jr. and wife Carol of Fairplay, Md.; seven grandchildren, Doug Jones, Travis Jones, Jennifer (Wilson) Zuggi, Cherie Henry, Thomas Henry, III, Diana Henry and Kristina Henry; and four great grandchildren, Jimmy Zuggi, Ryan Zuggi, Mikayla May and Aleayah Holmes. Two sisters, Patsy Henry and Carolyn Brewer; two brothers, Bill Henry and John Henry. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hessong; one brother, Richard Henry and one grandson, Christopher Michael Wilson. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Dr. James E. Swecker will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one-half hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury Street, Williamsport, Md.
