Thomas Melvin Chedester, 73, of Maugansville, MD, passed on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center. Born August 19, 1946 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Alvis and Margaret (Bone) Chedester. Thomas was preceded by his wife, Phillis Chedester, on August 21, 2014. He worked at Mack Volvo for 39 years and was a member of the UAW. He is survived by two sons, Thomas Chedester and wife, Joanna of Maugansville, and Scott Chedester of Hagerstown; and four grandchildren, Curtis, Breanna, Hunter and Logan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, aunts, and uncles. The family would like to thank the great neighbors and the help they provided. The funeral service will be private. The viewing will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 6 to 8pm. Social distancing and only 10 people allowed in the room at any given time. Masks are required.
