Thomas Anthony Ashby, 41, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center. Born January 16, 1977 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Ronald Thomas and Sherry Lee (Longanecker) Ashby. Thomas graduated from South Hagerstown High School, UMBC, and Florida State University with a double Masters Degree in Business Management and Marketing. He was employed as a manager with Walmart on Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown; and previously employed with Coca-Cola Beverages in FL as an analyst. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Talon Ashby; daughter, Addyson Ashby; three sisters, Lisa Russ, Lori Martin, and LeAnn Winters; three brothers, Richard Short, Shawn Ashby, Brandon Ashby; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service will be held 11am on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Shawn Bushman will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
