Theresa Janet Rutkowski, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Seaton Senior Living.

Born April 5, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Lapetina) Gaydos.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph Francis Rutkowski, on August 5, 2017.

Theresa worked as a lunch assistant at Lincolnshire Elementary School for 25 years. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Babbie; two sons, Paul Rutkowski (wife, Dee) and Robert Rutkowski (wife, Debra); three grandchildren, Amie Spigler (husband, William), Sender and Juan Rutkowski; and a great grandchild, Addison Spigler.

In addition to her parents and husband, Theresa was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Gaydos.

The funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Dean Pryor will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 6pm to 8pm.
