TERRY M. S. BUTTS, 66, of 112 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born December 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Martin Luther and Delores Clipp Butts. He was of the protestant faith. He attended school in Washington County. He retired from Preston Trucking, after twenty-one and a half years, and is a member of Teamster's Union #992, and A.A.R.P. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Charleen Ann Stumbaugh Butts; and five children: two sons, Tony M. Butts and wife, Robin of Hedgesville, West Virginia, Terry M. (Jake) Butts and wife, Leslie, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Tammy M. Butts of Hagerstown, Teresa M. Carpenter and husband Elwood, of Hagerstown, and Teraleen M. Roberts and husband, Dwayne of Sharpsburg, Maryland; a grandson, Tony M. Butts, Jr., whom they raised, and wife Carol, of Hagerstown.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Sassy. He is survived by two sisters, Martine Early of Fairplay, Maryland, and Shirley J. Stickler of Hagerstown. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Stumbaugh Lushbaugh of Hagerstown.. He was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Rohrer, and a half-brother, John Benner. Services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. The Rev. Betty Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
