Suzanne "Suz" Hernandez, 51, passed away, Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born April 7, 1971, in Hagerstown, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Elston "Pete" Hess, Sr. and the late Marie Sue (Wagaman) Hess.

Suzanne enjoyed her time working at Washington County Headstart and helping the children learn and grow. She also enjoyed making jewelry, spending quality time with her family, and was an avid animal lover.

She is survived by her four children; Summer Shanholtz, Hunter Hernandez, Abraham "AJ" Hernandez, Jr., and Leland Hernandez.; three brothers; Elston "Butch" Hess, Jr, John and Steve Youngblood; four sisters; Teresa Zittle-Hess, Diane Iser, Donnah and Pam Youngblood; three nieces; Jessica Burker, Jaime Allen, and Heather Hess; three nephews; Brady Hess, Michael Hess, and Jon Roudybush; five great nephews; Alex Irving, Jonathan Allen, Tyler Allen, Zander Hess, and Balik Hess; and three great nieces; Caitlynn Irving, Rayvyn Hess, and Coraline Hess.

The family will receive friends 5-7pm Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Douglas A. Courter is her pastor.
