SUSAN FRANCES COOKE, 83, of 308 Landis Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at home. Born October 25, 1927 in Lakewood, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Shondrick and Susan Kachmar Shondrick. She was a lifelong catholic and a five year parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family and home. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Ernest F. Cooke; three daughters, Susan Linda Divito, and her husband, Paul, of South Euclid, Ohio, Theresa Marie Mullett, and husband, Dale, of Woodbine, Maryland, and Rebecca Ann Cooke, and husband, Russel Lorraine, of River Forest, Illinois; five sons, Ernest Frederick Cooke, Jr., and wife, Lana, of Morgantown, West Virginia, Gary Andrew Cooke, and wife, Joan, of Richland, Washington, Donald John Cooke of Bethesda, Maryland, Anthony Richard Cooke and wife, Amy Isenberg, of Secaucus, New Jersey, David Anthony Cooke, and wife, Helen, of Ellicott City, Maryland; fifteen grandchildren, Anthony Divito, Gregory Divito, Andrew John Cooke, Alicia Cooke, Benjamin Cooke, Adam Cooke, Elizabeth Cooke, Steven Mullett, Caitlin Mullett, Rachel Mullett, Susan Lorraine, Marjorie Lorraine, Kenneth Lorraine, Lauren Cooke, and Anna Cooke; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a. m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown. The Rev. Christopher Moore will be celebrant. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Sunday from 2 to 5 p. m.
