SURJIT KAUR SONI, 78, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at her home. Born September 15, 1930 in India, she is the daughter of the late Pritam and Harnam Kaur Singh . She is survived by her husband of 62 years, P.L. Soni; three daughters, Kam Feld of Williamsport, MD, Shashi Beltgens of Larchmont, NY, Neelam Henderson of Waterford, VA ; two sons, Paul Soni of Waldorf, MD and Anish Soni of Sterling, VA; ten grandchildren, Priya Kurtz of Greencastle, PA, Dawn Orndoff of Waynesboro, PA, Natalie Haas of Kansas City, MO, Marco Beltgens of Leesburg, VA Ben Henderson of Ashburn, VA, Nisha Bunkley of Harpers Ferrry, WV, Sean and Mark Soni of Waldorf, MD Lauren and Mira Soni of Sterling, VA.; and seven great grandchildren. A Hindu funeral will be held Tuesday at 4:00 pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd.. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
