STEVEN EDWARD CLAYTON, 56, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his home after a long, courageous fight with cancer. Born, February 18, 1962 in Washington D.C. he was the beloved son of Donald C. Clayton, Sr. and Doris (Hudson) Clayton. Steven was a loving son, brother, and uncle who had always cared for his family and he will be sadly missed. Steven loved gardening, car shows, vacations at the Outer Banks, and his fur babies, Angel & Cookie. In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by two sisters, Cheryl Ann Persons (Eric) and Vickie Lynn Hartlaub; a brother, Donald C. Clayton, Jr. (Jackie); very special friends Michael and Erin Good and Family and Tony Morey; several nieces and nephews and two uncles. A gathering of friends will be held from 1 to 3 pm, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Prayers will be provided at 3pm by Father John Jicah. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
