Stephen Anthony Skipp, Sr., 75, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in Meritus Medical Center. Born May 26, 1943 in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Herbert M. and Grace (Bucklin) Skipp. Stephen was a graduate of Rogers High School; a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U. S. Air Force and a member of the AMVETS and the American Legion. He loved doing charity work for people. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Marion Skipp. Stephen is survived by one daughter, Lauren Skipp; one son, Steven A. Skipp Jr.; one brother, Herbert B. Skipp; nephews, Tracy and Chris Skipp; and a brother-in-law, Jim Winter. Graveside services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
