Shirley Lee Reeder, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center. Born September 23, 1934 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen J. (Zombro) and Howard H. Barnhart, Sr. Shirley worked at Preferred Plastic, and in later years, was a CNA. She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Merle Reeder; five children, Carolyn Aleshire (Gregory) of Clear Spring, MD, John Kroboth of Hagerstown, Teresa Bishop (Jim) of Williamsport, MD, Pam Line (George) of Hagerstown, and Gregory Kroboth (Dianna) of Hagerstown; three sisters, Doris Baker and Paula Morris, both of Hagerstown, and Linda Williams of WV; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren: and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy D. Barger; and brothers, Howard Barnhart, Jr. and Arthur Barnhart. The funeral service will be held 11am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Virginia Avenue Church of God, 17306 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Shawn Bushman will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6 to 8pm.
