Shirley Roxzanne North, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away December 17, 2023, at her home. She was born July 14, 1962, in McConnellsburg, PA.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene North, Jr., her beloved children, Jeremey Ray North, Jessica Marie North, and Jarod William North, and her father, William Howard Fisher.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Carroll Fisher; her sisters, Laura Ausherman, Katrina Kyle, and Rachel Fisher; nieces, Sonya Wolford and Emily Warner; nephews, David Mentzer and Phillip Kyle; and great nieces, Molly Wolford, Mackenna and Tinleigh.

Shirley graduated from Southern Fulton Junior Senior High School and was once the proud owner of North of the Border in Warfordsburg, PA. She started her culinary career at Sagel's restaurant in Hancock, MD, and also worked at Nick's Airport Inn in Hagerstown.

A member of the Hebron Mennonite Church, those who knew her best will remember Shirley as a woman whose heart of gold led her to always place others before herself. Her love and selfless actions have woven a tapestry of compassion that will surround her memory forever.

A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.
