SHIRLEY MARGARETE DAVIS, 89 of 7 E. Washington Street, Apt. 903, Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her home. Born December 27, 1923 in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Wilma White-Tolson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adelbert Davis in 1992. She was a member of Hagerstown Church of The Nazarene. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Williams of Hagerstown; two sisters, Arlene Christensen of Purcellville, Va. and Alice Embrey of Winchester, Va.; two granddaughters, Stacy Smith and Jennifer Phillips; three grandsons, Greg King, Ryan Williams and Sean Williams; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Phillips; a brother, Wesley White and a great granddaughter, Becca Smith. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at The Church of The Nazarene, 141 N. Edgewood Drive, Hagerstown. Pastor Steve Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, Virginia. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service at the church.
