Sherry Marie Tenneson, a lifelong resident of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on June 24, 1953, Sherry was a beacon of joy and adventure to all who knew her.

A proud 1971 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, Sherry dedicated many years of service to the Staples Distribution Center before her well-deserved retirement. Her work ethic and camaraderie with colleagues were unmatched, leaving a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her.

Sherry's zest for life was evident through her love of fine cuisine and adding her special touch to the decor of her beloved home. She was an avid gardener. Her zest for adventure took her on many travels in the eastern United States and the Rockies, with vacations in Maine and the Blue Ridge Mountains among her most cherished memories. Her adventurous spirit was contagious, and she inspired those around her to embrace the beauty of life's journey. Above all, Sherry's heart belonged to her beloved grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her boundless love and wisdom. Her legacy of love, kindness, and an appreciation for the simple pleasures of life will continue to live on through them.

She is survived by her soulmate and devoted husband of 49 years, David Tenneson; her loving sons, Matthew (Misty) and Benjamin; her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Trevor, Morgan, and Liberty; her caring sisters, Joan Miller and Jaime LaRue; and her brother, David Wynkoop. Sherry was predeceased by her son, Travis Tenneson, and her brother, James Wynkoop.

A viewing will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
