Sherrie Cameron, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Fahrney-Keedy Senior Living Community.

Born August 17, 1940, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late James Wilbur and Hilda Leola (Golden) Cameron.

Sherrie was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, Frostburg University, and Tennessee State University. She was a teacher in Prince Georges School System and retired from Washington County School System. She taught Physical Education at E. Russell Hicks Middle School.

Sherrie was a member of Maryland Retired Teachers Association, Washington County Retired Teachers Association, Friends of the Library, and Haven Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a half-sister, Tina Cameron. Two nieces, Wendy and Mikele; one nephew, Clay Cameron.

Sherrie was preceded in death by one brother, James Harvey Cameron.

Services will be 11am Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Beverly Donnella will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery, Benevola Church Rd., Mapleville, MD.

A Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the funeral home.
