Sharon Rae Shrader, 66, of Williamsport, MD, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Doey's House, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on April 6, 1957, in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Donald C. Brake and Doris R. (Coleman) Brake.

Sharon graduated from South Hagerstown High School, attended Susquehanna University, and later completed her undergraduate degree at Hagerstown Junior College. She was an avid animal lover and retired from the Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown. Sharon was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown and her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.

Sharon is survived by her former husband, Steve Shrader, and their children, Stephanie (Jeff) of Ohio, Sean (Laura) of West Virginia, Seth (Lauren) of Georgia, and Sarah (Shawn) Hershkowitz of North Carolina; her grandchildren, William Shrader, Scarlet Hershkowitz, Emily Thurmon, and Garrett Thurmon; and her brother, Donald Brake of Sharpsburg. She is also survived by a multitude of grieving friends in and around the Hagerstown area.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 E. Baltimore Street, Funkstown, MD, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11am. Pastor Lee Brumback will officiate.
