Sharon Marie Reid Harshman, 80, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by her family after a long battle with ALS. Born in 1945 in Waynesboro, Pa, she was the daughter of Alois and Adda (Parks) Singer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years and 2 days, Ronald Harshman; daughter, Kimberly Long, Hagerstown, MD; son, Brian Reid and wife Sheila, of Camp Hill, Pa; stepdaughters; Lori Sprecher and husband John, of Hagerstown, MD and Lisa Harshman of Hagerstown, MD. Her grandchildren, Nathan Long, Corey Long, Ashley Glover; Paige, Sheridan and Jace Reid, Nathan, Daniel (Seirra) and Eric Sprecher, Rodney Roof Jr, Alexander Harshman (Whitney), Bryce Byers, Lydia Grossnickle, Luna Jackson (Justice); her great grandchildren, Marilyn and Mya Long; Bentley Long; Sebastian, Kolsen and Amelia Sprecher; Sean Roof, Scarlett and Jackson Harshman; Iman Nurmatov and Oaklynn Byers; and Athena and Sagelynn Sensenig.
Sharon is survived by four loving brothers, Skip (Alois) and wife Kay Singer; Keith and wife DeLynn Singer; Steve and wife Peggy Singer and Jeffery and wife Keeli Singer.
Sharon loved the outdoors. She was adventurous and active, enjoying many outdoor activities such as water and snow skiing, kayaking and fishing, running, biking and crocheting. She spent over 35 years camping at Little Orleans, MD with many friends and family. Sharon was an avid gardener, growing flowers and vegetables. She loved to cook for her family. Sharon will be dearly missed by her family and friends who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
