Sharon "Sharrie" Kay Cadigan went to her heavenly rest on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Meritus Medical Center after a long illness. She was born September 29, 1959, in Hagerstown, MD. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Sylvia (Chesnut) Shives.

She started life as the youngest child of Concordia Lutheran Church at its founding in 1960.

She was a graduate of Williamsport High School and was employed several years with Hagerstown Trust and two John Deere businesses in the area.

Sharrie is survived by her mother, Sylvia Shives; her husband Cole Cadigan and stepson Jesse Cadigan; one brother Mark (Michelle) Shives of Tulsa, OK; two nephews Danny (Annalise) Shives of Denver, CO and Zach (Kate) Shives of Keene, NH; nine grand nephews and nieces, Noah, Isabelle, Eleanore, Preston, Lucy, Victoria, Ezra, Winston, and Leighton; and her many kitty companions.

Family and friends will be received at Concordia Lutheran Church, 17906 Garden Lane, Hagerstown, MD, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 5:00-7:00pm as well as on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 1:00-2:00pm.

The funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Concordia Lutheran Church.
